I graduated with my Master of Science in Oriental Medicine in Boulder, CO in 2016. In 2006 I received my Associate of Applied Science in Massage Therapy in Lincoln, NE and immediately moved to Boulder, CO to attend The Rolf Institute of Structural Integration. There I learned a specialized bodywork modality centered around connective tissue realignment. After putting 8 years into my bodywork practices I yearned to “see more” while treating my clients. I had already been introduced to the world of Chinese Medicine by receiving the work, studying it just for fun, and having the good fortune of befriending acupuncturists and acupuncture students. I decided that learning such a complete body of medicine would give me just what I needed to better assist my future patients. Today I put together roughly 15 years of experience and never ending learning into my medical practice in Missoula. Again and again this work has cured what ails me, soothed my spirit, and kept my life deeply meaningful. I hope it will bring the same joys to my patients. When not attending to this great calling, I love to move my body in every way possible, eat energizing food, and sip a good cup of tea.
After pursuing my passion for the human body and movement for over a decade through dance, I had to find a way to bring others into their bodies, without the ballet shoes. Dance taught me what it meant to turn off my over-active mind, and think with my body- to organize myself in a different way, with limbs and music and people all flying through space in a chaotic beauty. Though I didn't yet know how, I longed to share this knowledge. My own journey through injuries, over-use conditions, scoliosis and childbirth has lead me to pursue bodywork for healing, and a better understanding of the body, health, and the importance of movement. I found the depth of bodywork to be endless, the results addicting, and the exploration of the human body mind-blowing. After completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance and Arts Administration from the University of Oregon, I continued my education at theSage School of Massage in Bend, Oregon a few years later. I have since extended my education in this area with Leslie Stager of "Mother Touch," in her advanced trainings in Bodywork for Women's Health, and with Carol Gray at the Carol Gray Center for CST Studies. When I'm not a Massage Therapist I'm exploring Montana and building our family hobby farm with my husband, two little boys, and Goldendoodle.
